Description

Mars is close to the Pleiades since 1991 and won't be as close for centuries.

This Inmage was taken 2021-03-02 from 19:51 to 22:16 at a very small village in Germany, Wegberg-Merbeck.

The Equipment was quite low, a Canon EOS 70D - astromodified with a 18-135 USM kit-zoom-lens at f8.

Full system was tracked with am iOptron CEM25p

The single frames where on 90 seconds with ISO 800.

There is a Bortel 4-5 sky on an open field.

The finall result had to be double stacked, cause of Mars moving in front of the stars.

The main picture were 87 frames stacked with Siril, the Mars picture was stacked with 15 frames.

With starnet++ I worked the stars and nebula separate in Photoshop CS2 and recombined.

Mars was kopied into the final picture.

I'll tried to get a "natural look" with a bit more color.

Hope you like it.
