Description

I heard about this place (somewhere in Albacete, Spain), a little over two years ago and in March 2020 I organized my first outing to take pictures here, but the pandemic arrived, since then I have planned this trip about six times, all flustrated, for various reasons. On the 28th, I underwent surgery on my throat and as a result I can't speak for a month, plus all my commitments canceled, quite boring. My good friend Raul suggested that I go for a couple of days with the family and try to take some photos, I didn't think about it too much and that same day we had all the equipment loaded and we were on our way with wives, children and dogs. We arrived late and it was evening, we all wanted to rest, but when I looked up ... I could not believe what my eyes saw, a spectacle like I had never seen, despite my friend's complaints, it was late, we left the family in the rural house and we went to look for a suitable place to mount the equipment, first problem, I need a plug ... luckily we soon met a beekeeper who kindly let us settle on his land and provided us with electricity.

In 20min I had my equipment working, the stationing was not the best, but I was too eager to shoot my camera, I had a clear objective, Coccon Nebula, I tried this object last year and I did not like the result.
The night became interesting, because in the rush (my fault), we had no food or drink, and more than 15 cats of a few weeks jumped everywhere and climbed on top of us, then a lot of goats arrived, so I remembered that I had a couple of bottles of wine (to give to a friend), that greatly improved the cold night and gave me the courage to scare away the wild boars, yes too. At dawn we were back with a smile from ear to ear at the good data we were able to obtain, perhaps the wine had something to do with this.
We were getting ready to unload the equipment, eat and rest, but, surprise, one of those little kittens was inside our car, after returning the cat to his family, the children were already awake and everyone wanted to enjoy the day, and that's how it was. , the following night only two hours of session because clouds arrived, and we gave thanks for that, too sleepy.
An unforgettable experience that I will repeat very soon, the data is scarce and somewhat noisy for that reason, but the signal is excellent, it usually takes weeks to obtain enough data to complete an image, this is the data of a single night, without discarding any, with a result that I could never duplicate in my backyard.

Greetings to all and thank you very much if you have had the patience to read here. It will be because I still can't speak ... my wife is happy with that.
