Description

This is my first image in 2022...  I had CV-19 late December 2021 and almost died on January 1st.  I am thankful that I survived that experience, and now I am fully recovered.  I sure am thankful, with a new outlook on life,  that I can once again "Image the Heavens".

This image of M106 was acquired during very poor seeing conditions -- at around 5 arc sec -- here at the Sagrada Observatory, Las Cruces, New Mexico.    Nonetheless, the skies were clear, so I gave it a shot....

Image data was:  30 x 180 seconds Luminance 1x1;  15 x 300 seconds each RGB binned 2x2.

I look forward to re-imaging this galaxy under better seeing conditions, in order to reveal more detail within the galaxy.
