Description

I'm a fan of perspective shots. Its easy to forget that about the only thing visible to the naked eye in this frame is the bright star Phecda (which sits at the bottom of the Big Dipper's bowl). In perspective this image taken with a 4 1/2 inch telescope renders the galaxy M109 rather humbled, certainly not from its perspective, but from ours.

Sometimes its good to remember the frame filling images are often of things that are quite small.
