      Description

First light with my new ASI2600MM. While I've loved my little ASI294MM (and still do), this new camera is just a joy to work with.

Returning to the Elephant's Trunk for the first time since initially shooting it in July 2020. My first attempt was a haloed mess, shot with a doublet, a 12 year old camera, and a dual-bandpass filter on a full moon night. I think I've made a little improvement since then, and I'm fairly happy with these results.

My data is pretty solid - about 14.5 hours under fairly dark rural skies. Need to bury my nose in Inside Pixinsight again soon to try to refine my processing a bit.
