Its surface area is 18 minutes of arc. Its true diameter is
175 light-years at a distance of 33,600 light-years. He is one of the densest
Globular star cluster of our galaxy. Concentration class IV.
It consists of several hundred thousand stars.
At M 15 in 1928 the first of so far three Planetary Nebulae in one
Globular cluster discovered. PK 065.0-27.3 with 14.9 mag near the center.
So far also 112 variable stars as well as 8 pulsars were found.
