Description

I managed a few hours of capture during a very stormy June and made an impulsive target selection just to see what I could get. I centered on 2-140, but 2-141 is in the lower-right corner at least a good portion of 2-145 is in the frame too. The sky conditions followed a very sudden clearing immediately after a storm, so I think there was still a lot of residual wind shear in the atmosphere such that this was possibly among the worst seeing conditions I've yet experienced. Once integrated, the stars were so distorted that they were un-usable. Since the main data was acquired with a dual-band filter anyway, I just eliminated them. Probably the nebula isn't too strongly affected other than maybe losing some fine-scale detail.  I luckily had a brief one-hour clearing a week later and dashed out to collect a few quick frames with my L-Pro that I could use for star replacement.

I am still really liking the ALP-T filter, it can really pick up a lot of nebulosity. The background is still a little noisy, so I could use more integration time, but, overall, I think it was a good capture. I performed a little H-O-O color re-balance from the raw data just to give it more interest instead of being just solid red.
