Description

Today I would like to show you a small intermediate status of a project which could interest you.

In this night I had a completely different target, but as this stood quite low at 4h in the morning, I have decided for the last nearly 2h to take a galaxy cluster on target.

It's Abell 1185 and the famous "guitar" NGC 3561 (as group: Arp 105).

Of course 20x300sec are quite not enough (I'm already glad that the tidal tail at NGC 3561 can be seen). But the combination with the galaxy cluster makes the whole image an interesting composition.

Long exposure images show the dense galaxy cluster with dozens of galaxies and very few foreground stars as well as the diversified Arp group.

Overall, I have found only a few images here on AB. I wonder why this is so!

I will certainly put some exposure time on it.
