Description

Another example of the effectiviness of the lucky imaging technique (3 seconds exposures) with very bright DSOs.

The use of such short exposure helped to prevent tracking issues and to work around some guts of wind.

In the end as many as 985 out of 1000 exposures were deemed to be good enough to be stacked.

The burden shifts on the computer doing the stacking: approximately 8 hours were needed to stack it all with Astro Pixel Processor.

But albeit CPU intensive, this technique allows to obtain quite punctiform stars without guiding.
