Description

First light with my EdgeHD 8. It's my first SCT telescope that I am still getting the hand of it. Imaging and guiding at 1400 focal length is a totally different beast. I am not used to seeing two stars at max in PHD2, and that's after some fiddling with the guidecam orientation.

A limited time in total, especially with an F/7 scope, but clear nights have been a luxury lately. Haven't had a proper one since November.

The Owl Nebula is an 8,000 years old planetary nebula located approximately 2,030 light years away in the constellation Ursa Major.

Comments, feedback and tips on the new setup are highly appreciated!

Clear Skies!
