Description

28 hours and change of exposure and rendered in a "custom" Hubble palette color mix more appropriate for a "Heart". Since this is quite an undersampled widefield, this is drizzled 2x and deconvoluted.

IC1805 is shaped like the heart. IC1795 looks like a fish, swimming away. (bottom right).

The pair of nebula are 7,500 light years away appearing in the constellation Cassiopeia. William Herschel discovered parts of this region in 1787.

Captured in my fairly light-polluted backyard in Upstate NY (Bortle 5/6).
