Description

A section of star forming molecular clouds in Cepheus called Cepheus Flare ~1630 ly away in Cepheus. The term 'Cepheus Flare' was coined by Hubble. The regions LDN 1147,1148,1152,1155,1157 and LBN468 form the V shaped clouds as seen in the center, along with the bluish Iris reflection nebula just below it ~1435 ly away. These regions have several Herbig–Haro objects, bright patches of nebulosity associated with new born stars.

A barred spiral galaxy NGC 6951-6952 can also be seen, ~75 mil ly away and 0.1 mil ly across.

LRGB 4h 30m (7:6:7:7x600s) integration of 9h captured (14:12:14:14x600s) from SPA-3 telescope, a Takahashi FSQ-106EDX4 with Paramount MX+ mount, FLI PL16083 camera and Astrodon LRGB 2GEN filters. Situated in IC Astronomy Observatory, Spain. Part of telescope.live telescope network. Taken on multiple dates Jun-Aug 2022.

Processed in PixInsight.
