Description

Cutting my plan short on this target as I want to try and use it as a target for my first attempt at a mosaic. Pretty happy with what I got in just 3.7 hours. processing routine (courtesy of Entering Into Space youtube channel https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HMSpZluY2cY&list=PLbsb1-BvuVMr_fjTdQy3xDiCTDC9-IRb2&index=26&t=2689s )
  1. Dynamic Crop.
  2. If really good signal across all channels, combine all three using image integration into a super lum. All at stock settings.
  3. Crop super lum to the same as other images. Put aside until later
  4. ABE or DBE depending on the image apply to all channels and super lum.
  5. Run EZ Soft Stretch for all channels. Adjust as needed
  6. Run channel combination or Pixelmath and combine SHO
  7. Invert the image and remove magenta stars with SCNR at 100%
  8. Invert image back.
  9. Open starnet, tick starmask and extract stars. Save stars image.
  10. Run SCNR at 60%. Adjust as needed to remove green
  11. Extract a luminance and use Histogram Transform. Move back point in to clip slightly and boost lum slightly to increase contrast.
  12. Apply as mask to main image.
  13. Open Curves
  14. S Curve RGBK
  15. Saturation boost
  16. S Curve RGBK
  17. Saturation boost
  18. Adjust C Aim is to get blue and gold colour.
  19. Adjust colour as needed
  20. Remove the mask
  21. Pixelmath to put stars back in. Stars at 90%
  22. Convolution the image at 6.8 Std Dev
  23. Open super lum and add previews at the right places
  24. Open EZ Decon
  25. Create new processed star mask
  26. Create background mask blending at 50%
  27. Generate PSF. Change Sensitivity up if too many stars .25 is default
  28. Evaluate the Decon run using previews and look for ringing. Adjust Decon interations down as needed
  29. Run EzDenoise on Super Lum after checking against the previews.
  30. Stretch the Lum using the STF to Histo method. Adjust black point as needed after applying the stretch.
  31. Create a clone of the lum and open histogram, bring black point over to the middle of the curve
  32. Blur clone to 6.8 with convolution tool.
  33. Apply as mask to the Lum.
  34. Preview detail area, select HDR multiscale Transform
  35. Tick to lightness and lightness mask. Apply to preview and adust number of layers as needed. Start at 8.
  36. Review preview and mask
  37. Apply Lum to main image using LRGB. Drop sat to .48 and increase lightness to .51. Tick chrominance Noise.
  38. Create a luminance mask and apply to the image.
  39. Brighten with curves RGBK S curve, lightness.
  40. Open Lum and use Histo trans to bring black point in (Dont clip) and brighten highlights a small amount.
  41. Blur clone to 6.8 with convolution tool.
  42. Apply mask and invert it
  43. Preview dark areas for background noise reduction.
  44. Open TGVDenoise and set to CIE mode. All defaults and test on previews and then apply.
  45. Invert the mask back to protect the background
  46. Open unsharpmask, target to Lightness. Adjust amount as needed
  47. Remove mask and previews.
  48. Run dark structure enhance with amount of .25
  49. Run Ez star reduction if you think it needs it.
  50. Final adjustment of Histo if needed for the dark slider.
