Description

Also known as Leo 1, UGC 5470 is thought to be one of the most distant satellite galaxies of the Milky Way. It was discovered in 1950 photographically, but not confirmed to be seen visually until the 1990s in part due to its low surface brightness and the glare of Regulus.

I do have a bit of a misalignment on the scope's spider vanes (hence the double spike on Regulus), but am once again impressed with my little 114mm newt.
