Description

I revisited M31 after two years, just to see, what I can get out of it in one night. I also used several new processing approaches I did not use before, like fully separate editing of stars and object after stretching (StarNet++ ist just awesome) and switching early to Photoshop.

Obviously there are some flaws and things to improve:

- Wrong spacing between reducer and sensor and also some tilt

- I should have imaged the stars separately with a shorter exposure time and at GAIN 0

- As soon as my imaging train is corrected, I will triple the integration time

Maybe the items, that are on back-order, will arrive early enough to make a second go this year .

Title: v2

Description: As a beginner, I learn something new every time I photograph a new DSO or process an image with tools like PixInsight. Like many, I go back from time to time and see what I can get out of older data with my new knowledge. I think the first version lacks the impression of the brightness of the core (gone too far with bringing out dust in the core). It also has an unnatural look to the stars, because I reduced them way too much. And finally, the saturation of M31 was too high (especially the strong yellow tint).
I fixed all of this in my new revision and used some more recent tools to get a better result overall.
