Description

SH2-240, also known as the Spaghetti Nebula, on the border between the constellations of Auriga and Taurus. It is the remnant of a large star that ended it's life in a colossal explosion known as a supernova whereby the star's core running out of hydrogen fuel, collapses suddenly with the resulting spike in heat energy blowing the star apart and spreading the elements that it synthesized during its lifetime back into deep space.
