Description

This area is a young open cluster located in the constellation Monoceros. The Christmas Tree Cluster is part of the NGC 2264 region, along with the Cone Nebula and the Fox Fur Nebula, and belongs to the Monoceros OB1 association, a loose association of very young stars located in the Orion Arm of the Milky Way.

Auto-guiding: ZWO ASI290MM Mini and ZWO 60mm f/4.6 Guidescope

Filter: Optolong 2" L-Enhance Dual Narrowband Light Pollution Filter (H-Alpha and H-Beta/O-III)

17 combined exposures of lights at 5 minutes each merged with darks and flats. Total exposure time = 1.4 hours.
