Description

The moon is the nemesis of deep sky photographers, but it's another world, very close to us, with landscape features easily discernable. A full moon is simply the worst, but the shadows on a half moon reveal plains and ridges and especially impact craters. This one has some pretty good resolution, being a mosaic constructed using images recorded using a 14 inch telescope with a focal length of 3910 mm, so check out the zoom!
