Description

Been wanting to shoot this for a while. It was a beautiful night, not too hot, not too cold, no dew. Managed to get 3 hours on the Heart and Soul hanging out just below Cassiopeia. Lost an hour up front waiting for it to clear the tree line. Loving my setup for this year:
RedCat
Triad Ultra filter - perfect filter for Bortle 6+ skies
Astroberry
Canon 6D modified

90x120" lights + calibration frames
ISO 1600
Bortle 6

Learned a new GIMP technique for star reduction. Instead of using StarNet++, you get your image tuned where you want, then duplicate the layer. On the bottom layer you do Filters > Generic > Erode. On the top layer you reduce transparency to 30-40% to taste. Boom!
