Description

Following extended cloudy nights, I managed to gather some data to present a decent narrowband image of the Heart Nebula.  Lots of data from nights with either a full moon or below average seeing, but I can't be picky these days.  And that is a shame as this is a beautiful emission nebula 7500 light years away, located in the Perseus Arm of the Galaxy in the constellation Cassiopeia.  It was discovered by William Herschel in 1787. It displays glowing ionized hydrogen gas and darker dust lanes.

I minimized the stars to have the nebula pop out more, but I am not sure if I really like this look (original version).  So, I added another version with a more pronounced starfield.
