Description

Barnard 343 is a dark nebula made up of a molecular cloud of un-ionized (cold) hydrogen and dust. This region is close to the star Sadr (Gama Cygni). It is so thick that it extinguishes the stars in the background. Only infrared (IR) imaging can reveal them.
