Description

This pair of Astrobin Debut Objects appears to be 2 interacting galaxies located 1 billion light years away in the constellation of Pisces at a declination of +2 degrees.  Each galaxy spans 20 arc-seconds in our apparent view, which corresponds to a diameter of 90,000 light years.  I like the contrasting yellow and blue colors of these 2 galaxies.  The blue galaxy has significant disturbance in its upper left quadrant.  A star stream halo appears to envelop both galaxies.

Below this pair is a pretty slightly warped unidentified edge-on spiral galaxy.  If this galaxy is the same size as our Milky Way, it is located 1.2 billion light years away.

Behind the pair are 3 small unidenitified galaxies, looking like ellipticals.  If these galaxies are 90,000 light years in diameter, then they are 4 billion light years away.

Other interesting galaxies are also seen in the background.
