Description

IC342, the hidden galaxy. A very close and large galaxy in our sky that would have been visible to the naked eye if not for its location behind the dust of our milkyways arm! Called a sprawling Island universe by Dr.Harlow Shapley in a news article published June 1935 (attached), he though it to be bigger than the size of the moon in our night sky. (although that is not true)

Captured at Taqwa Space Observatory, Pakistan's only privately owned dark sky observatory (bortle class 1) located in the province of Balochistan.
