Description

This project was a big surprise to me. These "small" galaxies show a great contrast:
The intermediate spiral Seyfert galaxy NGC 4151 shows faint "arms" and a surprisingly bright core, which even causes diffraction spikes.
NGC 4145 shows a less bright core with Ha regions distributed along the spiral arms.

The total exposure of nearly 50 hours helped to reveal the faint structures in the main galaxies and also the small background galaxies.
I chose to crop the final version for an ideal framing of the two main galaxies. Please check out the uncropped version for further super small, intriguing background features.
