Description

Taking a break from galaxies - I found some interesting images of this nebula on Astrobin and thought I'd try it. It's very faint, and more time on it would be great but the long-term forecast isn't looking very good right now. I had to push the stretch a good bit to bring out the details.

It was great to get the Redcat back out again! The wider field view helped capture more of the nebula and the nice field of stars.

LBN 406 is a large molecular cloud in the constellation Draco. Its brightness was classified as a 1 on a scale of 1 to 6 ("barely visible") in Beverly Lynd's Catalogue of Bright Nebulae.
