Description

With its integrated 12.5-megapixel sensor, offering a sampling of 1.6 arc seconds and a field of view of 1.6° x 1.6°, Vespera Pro stands out as the ideal smart telescope for unveiling the finest details of deep-sky objects. Its wide field ensures complete capture, a feat where smart telescopes from other brand often fall short, revealing only a fraction or a less detailed image. This image showcases NGC6992, the western segment of the Veil Nebula, exposing the intricate gas filaments born from a supernova explosion 15,000 years ago.Remarkably, a mere 2 hours and 30 minutes of acquisition (617 x 15-second exposures) with a dual-band filter sufficed. While Vespera Pro typically delivers a pre-stacked RAW file post-observation, manual stacking of individual images (FITS) was conducted for this image, aided by calibration images (darks) obtained through the expert mode.

The image was captured under a Bortel3 sky of Utah.
