Description

Fr 2-41 was discovered by professional astronomer Dr David Frew. It is registered on the HASH database as a possible planetary nebula. This deep, contrast-enhanced image is the first image of Fr 2-41. It reveals an interesting structure that is atypical of the classical structure of planetary nebulae.  More than 9 hours of [OIII] exposures have yielded no trace of [OIII] signal. With no obvious CSPN the question remains as to whether or not this is a true planetary nebula.
