A dream scope is useless unless you're in your dream location. With my Bortle 7 skies, with 75 to 80% cloudy nights, what's the point.

I would choose the dream location first.

Yes, as they continue to build around me this has become a priority. We will be ready to seriously shop the real estate market this summer.

Currently using a SkyShed Pod. It has serious limitations for an imager, but does allow me to be shooting in about 5 minutes. Showed the power and convenience of a home observatory. And I also realized that the way to double my data flow was to have a second rig operational. And domes really are for a single scope.

Once the new property is located, my Dream Observatory is actually rather simple: a ROR structure with two piers. One for my existing 10Micron GM1000, and one for a GM2000. A variety of scopes will be cycled on the mounts, the only one left to buy is a PlaneWave CDK.
