Description

Rho Ophiuchi cloud complex is a close and active star forming region located in the constellation of Ophiuchus. It is mainly composed of gas and dust and hosts several amazing colorful nebulae.

This region is located some 460 light-years away from Earth.

It's been a very difficult target due to its low altitude on the south horizon from my home observatory (at a latitude of 40º north).

The image has been captured using R, G, B and Luminance filters, to compose a two pane mosaic that aimed to capture an interesting part of this complex.
