Description

This was imaged during a moon phase. Not the most interesting image but if you look closely there are a large number of galaxies that are in the background I have run it through a Pixinsight Script called Annotate Image and it has picked up 47 PGC galaxies in the background but there are more. I have searched online but cannot find any info mainly about the distance away from the earth, if anyone knows away of finding this information out please let me know.

Arcturus is the brightest star in the constellation of Boötes, the fourth-brightest in the night sky, and the brightest in the northern celestial hemisphere. Together with Spica and Denebola (or Regulus, depending on the source), Arcturus is part of the Spring Triangle asterism and, by extension, also of the Great Diamond along with the star Cor Caroli. When viewed from Earth, it appears to be positioned almost at the north galactic pole of the Milky Way.
