Description

The Canadian wildfire smoke returned, and I could only see the brightest stars through the haze. I decided to go ahead and image anyway, since we finally got a break from the clouds here. I chose M27 since it's a nice, bright nebula (magnitude 7.5). Most of the subs looked pretty terrible until the scope was pointed more vertically, through less of the haze.

This is my first try at M27, a planetary nebula in Vulpecula, about 1,360 light-years away.
