Description

many problems and many new challenges with this image.
Also combining starless with stars resulted in too much noise reduction in my opinion therefore I tried to add a better starlesss version with more detail from earlier in the processing as mouseover which didn't work yet here on Astrobin and I will try that as a new revision later to see if that helps.
Also had lots of  difficulties with starhalo's that where almost impossible to process, therefore I tried to publish a starless detail where they are not visible.

Title: some more noisereduction and curves

Description: The Fireworks Galaxy shining through the IFN nebula.

This is what I interpret from the image (correct me if I'm wrong):

You can clearly see that the very faint IFN has more and less high concentrations because the bright core and surroundings of the galaxy come through well, while the (obviously fainter) ends of the spiral arms are only slightly brighter than the IFN, so the structure of the fainter parts of the galaxy can still be followed even behind it.

I think that is the reason why I found both color and details difficult to process (the IFN substance does not allow that).

Title: Starless galaxy with better detail

Description: My goal was to optimally represent both the IFN and the galaxy in the image.
However, I discovered that this is an impossible (?) combination as the dynamic range is much too large between those 2 different targets.
The galaxy is absolutely impossible to process the right way if you also want to stand out the IFN.

Therefore I decided to make a separate starless detail of the galaxy to make that object more visible in its own glory while the mouseover shows the IFN better.
