Description

The Bubble Nebula (NGC 7635) imaged in Hydrogen-alpha, Oxygen-III and Sulphur-II narrowband.  It is an HII region emission nebula in the constellation Cassiopeia. The "bubble" is created by the stellar wind from the massive hot young central star.
This is a colour image using the SHO Hubble colour palette.
Created with Astronomik H-alpha, SII and OIII 6nm narrowband filters.
Full resolution sub-images (used as the luminance image) Ha: 43x300s.
Binned half resolution sub-images (chrominance image data) Ha: 42x300s, SII: 42x300s and OIII: 42x300s.
