Description

NGC 5139 is without a doubt one of the “Big Five” of the southern sky.
Its apparent size is about 2,5 times the diameter of the size of the globular star cluster M 13 in the constellation Hercules.
In the image you can see numerous mini galaxies as well as 2 molecular clouds (on the right of the picture), which I had no knowledge of before.
