Description

Meet & Greet the famous Messier 20. Known as the "Trifid Nebula" for its three-lobed appearance, M20 is one of the most famous objects in the sky. This object is an unusual combination of an open cluster of stars, an emission nebula, a reflection nebula, and a dark nebula that divides the emission nebula into three parts. As for the processing part, the palette color is obtained by combining together the H-alpha & Oxygen III narrowband filters, but not only ! Since the H-alpha signal is way stronger than the Oxygen III, I blend the natural Green broadband color channel into this later. In a nutshell, processing this deep sky object was quite an interesting technical journey.
