Description

Hello!

Here a very first attempt in shooting at the Soap Bubble Nebula (PN G75.5+1.7) in the constellation Cygnus!
In that field of view shooted, also the Crescent Nebula (NGC 6888) and the open cluster (IC 4996) are  together with the magnificence of the star 34 Cyg.
The Soap Bubble Nebula is most probably a planetary nebula, having almost a fantastic spherical and pretty symmetrical shape and it seems
adrift upon the stars-studded canopy. It has been discovered just few years ago.

From my Bortle Class 5 backyard, I really wished this time to increase the total integration, in order to capture as much light as possible and to try to
collect some tiny details of that increadible region of the sky (even with my few diameter, around 100mm for my ED refractor).
At the end I collected (a record until now in my astrophotography path) more than 10 hours of signals in four different nights, from 19th June till 8th July, again using
the paper-made goniometric scale placed on my one-shot-color camera adapter in order to find the right angle position of the camera!

I used also the plate-solving technique in order to find as precise as possible, the right RA/DEC central point coordinate in the field of shoot,
night after night (even if then a slight shift due to the rotations has been almost intrinsecal during the four astrophotographic sessions).
I maintained also the camera temperature (with the internal cooler) around 0 °C, and also flat-frames, and dark-flat-frames have been collected at the same
light-frames temperature!

Furthermore, as a new entry, I post-processed all the 208 light-frames collected ( 3 minutes exposure long) with PixInsight (that I'm also learning
since one month) and I used Photoshop for some further details and a final touch!
