Description

I can honestly say that when I decided to expose M13 for a night on 11 May 2024 - before the lunar period - I had no idea that I was about to see one of the most memorable sightings. Well not because of the subject matter, the Great Globular Cluster of Hercules is photographed by many and many - I have dealt with it more than once. But because of the most powerful Aurora Borealis phenomenon in recent years, which has also completely stirred up the country. When the first lights appeared before midnight, I immediately abandoned my setuo and headed to the shores of Lake Balaton to capture the phenomenon. But the telescope didn't stop working and diligently collected the light... The end result is a great memory, and I didn't even remove the effect of the polar light from the picture.

This picture was taken from the beach. It is particularly interesting that the M13 is beyond the zenith and the light was so strongly wavy up to there.
