Description

The Planetary nebula HFG-1 and Abell 6 1 (PK136+05.1 and PK136+04.1, respectively)  in Cassiopeia are unusual in that both are much stronger in OIII than Ha signal. HFG is named after its discovers Heckathorn-Fesen-Gull, who first described the nebula in 1982, though Abell 6 was discovered by George Abell in 1955. The striking bow shock seen in PK136+05.1 is associated with a binary star system that is rapidly moving thru the Milky Way and rotating around each other every 14 hours. The Cropped version B of HFG-1 better reveals the disjointed nature of the bow shock, and the wide field version A  reveals Abell 6 and the surrounding Ha background.  Credit to @Herbert_West  for the inspiration to go after this target! His image was amazing.
