I've been involved in visual astronomy off and on for nearly 40 years, however my interest has always been in astrophotography. Two years ago I moved to a small town in the Midwest with bortle 4 skies, this last summer 2021 I dove in head first and am now fully automated, telescope sets in the driveway and I set in the comfortable house and image. I use NINA for imaging, Stellarium as my planetarium and of course PHD2 for guiding. For processing images I use Pixinsight, Gimp and Siril.
