NGC 4244 is an edge-on loose spiral galaxy in the constellation Canes Venatici, and is part of the M94 Group, a galaxy group relatively close to the Local Group containing the Milky Way.
In the sky, it is located near the yellow naked-eye star, Beta CVn (Chara).

This is my first image taken with my new camera, an asi 2600 mm-pro, which replaces my old Atik16200 and AtikOne 6.0 CCD cameras.

On this occasion, I modified the imaging gear to include a Pegasus Astro Falcon v1 field rotator.

Backfocus is globally respected, but I still have a few adjustments to make in order to optimize everything, notably by gaining a few millimeters in the optical range...

Fortunately, BXT allows to correct almost perfectly any small defects caused by the extra millimetres of backfocus compared with the recommended distance !

Views by Submitters (available since September 19th, 2023) Every image is assigned to 50% of available Submitters. In the event that at least 80% of them don't view the image before its time in the IOTD/TP process expires, it's assigned to the other 50% of Submitters and the process begins anew.
