Fellow South Dakota Black Hills Astronomical Society (SDBHAS) member Rod Michael invested in an impressive astrophotography rig that he recently moved to Sierra Remote Observatory (SRO) in California. After much work bringing his setup online Rod graciously offered some high quality data for processing. His LRGBSHO data of IC5070, The Pelican Nebula, was astounding - buttery smooth, low noise subs accented with splendid 4-spoke diffraction spikes.
Rod provided 23 x 480s [SII], 22 x 480s Hα, and 20 x 480s [OIII] - total integration of 8 hrs and 40 mins - of IC5070. He also offered LRGB data but i chose to go with the narrowband data since he had already went with an
LRGBSHO version.
This SHO image was the result of my post-processing in PixInsight with mild color tweaking in Lightroom Classic. The file was saved as a high res PNG for AB pixel peepers.
