Description

I love dragons. Dragons, those fire-breathing, winged wonders, have been captivating human imagination for eons. Thus naturally I turned to the sky looking for those fascinating creatures, so far I have not yet been able to capture one, I will someday. For now I rely on the amazing network of friends who have been super supportive throughout my astrophotography journey.

My first was the Flying dragon which was provided by @Mark Ellis.

Now I've turned to @Jeff Coldrey who generously provided me his data of the Majestic Dragons of Ara.

The Fighting Dragons of Ara, is a captivating emission nebula located in the southern constellation Ara. This area is beautiful no matter what focal length you use.

I was overjoyed when I stumbled upon a third Dragon hidden in the O3 layer. A new personal discovery (to me) as I've not seen it before.  The Dragon of light, hiding in the background brightness, cleverly hiding in plain sight overseeing the eternal conflict.

Unfortunately I lacked the processing skill to reveal the light dragon in the full color image, so had to peal away the colors so it can show its true face in black and white

While processing those amazing beasts, no matter what color combination one used, each result had its unique beauty. The final image is a combination of about 9 different renditions of the dragons, E being my favorite and F being Jeff's .

Clear Skies.
