Description

This is a combination of data gathered with the new Askar 120mm APO and the new AM5 mount. Shot over two nights for a total of 206 two-minute exposures. Just getting familiar with the new gear and how it wants to respond to guiding settings on the AM5.  The first night's data was mostly ruined because I am an idiot. Let's just leave it at that and avoid further embarrassment. Overall, when left to its own devices and the settings for the guiding properly adjusted, I was able to run fairly consistently below 1 arc second total RMS. I did notice on the second night that after the Meridian Flip it wasn't able to get back to sub 1 second error rates and instead was running around 1.35 to 1.8 for the rest of the night. I suspect Seeing was the culprit, but I am not sure. The clouds have rolled in and it looks like at least a week before I can look into it more. So far I am pretty happy with the results.
