Description

The Sadr Region
(also known as Gamma Cygni Nebula or less commonly the Butterfly Nebula) is a star forming region in Cygnus.  Sadr, the bright star top right of the Butterfly, also hides a bright emission nebulae known as [KC97c] G078.1+01.8 although I could not find more than just the name.  The smoke and haze cleared a day before this image, which made it easier to capture.

Details: 1.5 hours RGB (each) 5 minute (300s) sub-exposures

I had a luminance layer, but after stretching the existing data RGB I realized I no longer needed it.  Here it is!Sadr bw star.jpgI'm still learning my way around a monochrome camera, but even so this has been my most successful capture yet!
