Description

Quick test of equipment after about 18 months of not having done any imaging.

I wanted to try our CCDCiel as it looks very cool and I liked the ability to use an older laptop with Linux/INDI/CCDCiel so I wouldn't have to go buy a new Windows laptop.

Everything worked really well.  CCDCiel has great automation capabilities and a much nicer UI than some other options I've tried with INDI.  I like that Cartes du Ciel is a separate program from CCDCiel.   Also CCDCiel has a nice centralized location for all the configuration which is much easier for me to remember and navigate.  I gave the multi-star guiding in PHD2 a first try as well and it performed great.

The C8 is from 2003, the Sirius is from 2008 and the ASI1600 is from 2015.  Happy to get more mileage from these classics.

Gave WBPP a first try and it is a wonderful enhancment for Pixinsight.  I used PCC for color calibration.  No other processing.  Main goal was to confirm I could calibrate with flats and get reasonable results which turned out to be the case.

Too much trouble to enter filter info in new hw database so I'll just put it here:
