Description

If you’ve been following me for a while you probably know that I have a passion for dark nebulae. I find these targets extremely exciting to capture. They’re faint, hard to find, and rarely imaged. This one right here I didn’t even know about until a week prior to my trip to Cherry Springs, PA. I was doing research on Dark Nebulae around the Cepheus region. I wanted to put this Explore Scientific ED80 at f3.9 to the test for an all night project. I was stoked to discover this as it’s incredibly unique to the eye. Lots of faint wispy stuff with dark contrasting features. Additionally there are PGN galaxies found within this region laying in background space. Neighboring this dark nebulae is the more commonly imaged Dark Shark.
