Description

This image field is the Sharpless 2-112 Region - it is pretty much central to the larger Cygnus Region. Sharpless 2-112 is the bright nebula in the upper portion of this image. Sharpless 2-112 is loosely also known as Cederblad 181, LBN 337, and DWB 174. The smaller and somewhat separate structure in the upper right of Sharpless 2-112 is DWB 175 . Emission regions of LBN 330 and DWB 169 are in the lower part of this image. Some of the dark nebulae from the Dobashi and LBN catalogs are seen in this image field. These object and some of the brighter stars are seen in the annotated image. The Vertical FOV is approximately 88arc minutes. Image scale of the full size image is 1.88 arc seconds per pixel.
