Description

This is the result of my first multi-night study. While I collected over 23 hours of data, I spent a lot of time narrowing the best data down using PixInsight's subframe selector. Thus, the result shown is slightly over 16 hours of integration on LRGB.

Though I have a flats panel awaiting installation, I have been practicing with twilight flats. The SBIG Aluma AC4040 is a very sensitive camera which has been somewhat of a steep learning curve for me, but I do feel that I'm beginning to see improvements in the data.

The total count of each integration component by filter/category is shown below:

Lights
L: 235 x (40 seconds)
R: 242 x (70 seconds)
G: 232 x (70 seconds)
B: 235 x (70 seconds)

Flats
L: 21
R: 30
G: 31
B: 32
Dark Flats: 109

Darks
104 x (40 seconds)
104 x (70 seconds)

In PixInsight, I used the following steps:
Channel Combination -> RGB
RGB -> Dynamic Background Extraction -> Division
RGB -> Dynamic Background Extraction -> Subtraction
L -> Dynamic Background Extraction -> Division
L -> Dynamic Background Extraction -> Subtraction
Color Calibration -> RGB
Histogram Transformation -> RGB, L
