Description

Sharpless 310 is one of the largest HII regions known in the Milky Way. It is ionised by two stars called Tau Canis Majoris and UW Canis Majoris. This image shows only the brightest and most interesting part of this enormous region. I took this with my trusty 102mm refractor and processed using the HSO pallette. There is no Oiii that i can detect.
