Description

Comet 62P/Tsuchinshan captured on Dec 11 while it was wandering through Leo. There are a plethora of distant galaxies and galaxy groups here, with some nice dispersion of larger foreground stars of various color temperatures. We also see NGC 3239, an irregular galaxy called the Loony Galaxy (Arp 263).

And just at 11 o clock position slightly top left of the comet is rocky Asteroid 101 Helena, appearing as a trailed stack feature. It seems I managed to luckily capture it as it was just about the start back on its retrograde motion and unlikely 101 Helena and 62P will be close to each other again.

NOTE: For comet data input (solar system object), astrobin only allowed to input video acquisition details, no option that I could see for 'normal' single long exposures. So the 60s exposures are inputted as 60000 ms, etc.
